Class Descriptions

Therapeutic Flow - In this therapy flow practice we will be working with various forms of gentle yoga practices. We'll be incorporating different themes such as working with our chakras, pranic energy flow and the distribution of prana, our vital life force, into a seamless flow of postures that connect body mind and soul. Each week we'll be working with different forms of pranayama (breathing techniques) physical postures, and deep guided relaxation. This practice is very healing and suitable for all levels.

Yoga Therapy - is a practice designed to bring body, mind and spirit into balance. By working with yoga postures, breathing techniques, and guided relaxation all designed to release tension withing the body to relax the mind. In a yoga therapy class the student is invited to begin the process of self-healing. All levels can participate and benefit, as we work on physical and emotional imbalances geared to increase homeostasis and equilibrium, integrating body, mind and spirit.

Flow and Let Go - The first half of this class is a Soft Therapeutic Flow Style Vinyasa. We'll be working with themes such as hip openers back strengthening, anxiety and more. The second half, the let go portion, is Restorative Yoga (see below description). 

Restorative Yoga - is designed to do just that. By allowing the body and mind to melt into supported asanas we learn to observe the tension we hold onto and softly, slowly release into a trance like meditative state within each asana. Props such as bolsters, blankets, blocks or folding chairs are used. If you do not have these props please join in as you can use pillows, blankets and rolled towels. 

Meditation / Yoga Nidra - Meditation can be a difficult thing to practice. We can easily move our bodies but to sit in stillness and silence becomes a challenge for our mind. Meditation is not about doing but rather to let go and just “BE.” When we meditate we give our minds and bodies permission to relax, release stress and find our inner peace. There are so many health benefits to meditation such as lowering cortisol in our blood, reducing our blood pressure and resting heart rate to name a few. In this class you will be guided into visual meditations and various techniques.

Saturday June 27; Yoga & Nutrition for Healthy Aging 9:30am - 12:30pm

In this workshop we'll be discussing tools we can work with to help us to grow older gracefully with good health to both body & mind while increasing our wisdom! The old saying "older and wiser" holds so true when we are active and activily trying to raise our consciousness.  

We'll begin with a light discussion on the benefits of healthy eating, then we will prepare a light meal together. After that we'll do a short yoga practice for healthy aging followed by a nice guided relaxation. Then we can eat our meal together. 

Yes! This can all be done online. Once you register I'll forward you the link and a handout with a simple recipe and the ingredients. We can put it together or you can watch and hold onto the instructions for the future but it would be fun to eat lunch together!

The Fee for this Workshop is only $25
